Glossaries

“Territory” vs. “Myterry”

Both refer to areas (or territories) enclosed by pins placed on a map. However, “Myterry” is a subset of “Territory” that has been gained as an area and requires maintenance through activities. It is short for “My Territory.”

That said, in the app’s interface, the distinction between “Territory” and “Myterry” can sometimes be unclear, and they may be interpreted as having the same meaning. However, from the developer’s perspective, the above explanation represents the intended distinction. Even I occasionally get confused, but this structure has evolved over time… so here we are.

Home Location

This indicates the central point of your Myterry activities.

Marking

This refers to taking a photo of a place you like and leaving a specific mark within the image. Marking records the location’s geographic data and places a marking pin.

Please, under no circumstances, interpret this (i.e. take a p…e) as needing to mark the spot in a literal sense!

Marking Pin

Also referred to simply as a “pin.” It represents the points placed on the map to create your acquired area.

Activity Radius

This is the radius within which Myterry activities can take place, measured from the home location.
